Contraceptive diaphragm refers to an artifact which is made up of the latex or plastic which when placed on vaginal fundus covers the uterine cervix forbidding the passage of the sperm cells through cervical canal. To be more effective diaphragm should to be used along with the spermicide. This method though does not avoid the sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
