Expert
NAND flash memory refers to the type of non-volatile storage technology which does not need power to retain the data. NAND has considerably higher storage capacity as compared to NOR. A significant goal of the NAND flash development has been to decrease the cost per bit and increase the maximum chip capacity so that the flash memory may compete with the magnetic storage devices such as hard disks.
