Voice over IP (VoIP) is an IP telephony word for a set of facilities which are used to manage the delivery of voice information over Internet. VoIP includes sending voice information in digital form in discrete packets instead of by using the traditional circuit-committed protocols of the PSTN (public switched telephone network).
