There is a direct point-to-point link among two neighboring nodes. Such links are unidirectional that makes sure that the transmission by a node traverses the entire ring and comes back to the node, which made the transmission. Ring Network topology is mainly suitable for organizations which require a centralized database or centralized processing facility.
