Is it right to consider water decomposition by the action of light on the basis of photosynthesis method?

Besides ADP photophosphorylation, the photic energy is as well responsible for the breaking of water molecules throughout photosynthesis in a process termed as water photolysis. In this reaction water molecules are exposed to photic energy and release protons (that is, hydrogen ions), highly energetic electrons and molecular oxygen (O2). Afterward the hydrogen atoms will be included into carbon-dioxide molecules to form glucose. As water is the hydrogen donor for photosynthesis it is right to say that the water photolysis is the base of the process.
