Vaccines aren’t used in the treatment of infections since they depend on the inital immune response that takes about a week to start and is not so intense and effectual. Antivenom serums however are inoculated in the circulation and used the same as an instant treatment since they are made of a great quantity of immunoglobulin (antibodies) that is potent against their individual specific venom.
