Explain types of the spread spectrum and compare them?

There exist two types of spread spectrum namely:

a) FHSS - Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum

b) DSSS – Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum.

DSSS:

Every bit in the transmission is denoted as the multiple bits.

FHSS:

Signal is broadcasted in the random series at the fixed time intervals.  Synchronization between the transmitter and receiver is a necessary.
