• HRM (or Human resource management) is dissimilar from PM (or Personnel management) in orientation and scope.

• HRM sees the people as an significant asset for the organization which will advantage the organization to develop and the society as overall. While, PM treats the workers as labour and it expresses them that they are labour for the organization.

• PM department is not treated with respect, while there is a respect giving in HRM department and every person is treated as equal.

• PM is not considered as a part of planned management and forever been treated as an activity to appoint new employees and manages records of them. While, HRM treats each and every individual imperative and it deals with planned marketing.

• PM relates itself to labour management, while HRM deals with customer management and trusts in providing the most excellent services to an organization.
