Periods into which interphase are classified
What are the three periods into which interphase are classified?
Expert
Interphase is the prior phase to the mitotic division. This is divided into three periods, G1, S and G2 (that is, the letter G comes from “gap”, meaning breach or interval, and the letter S comes from “synthesis”, pointing the period in which DNA replicates).
However, gap is not completely suitable for the periods instantly before and after the DNA synthesis. The idea of growth would be more enough as in such periods (G1 and G2) the cell is growing to split later in mitosis.
Mitosis occurs with low frequency in tissues of the slow renovation, such as the bones in adults and the connective tissues. Illustrate.
