GSM is the circuit switched network that is employed for voice call and for data call we utilize GPRS. The GPRS employs network elements of GSM however it consists of two additional nodes (SGSN and GGSN) by using such two nodes we can join to PDN(or packet data network) and make packet call data speeds of GSM 13kb/s while in GPRS is of 171kb/s.
