Frequency-division multiplexing
Illustrate the term Frequency-division multiplexing with example?
Expert
Frequency-division multiplexing (or FDM) is an analog method which can be applied when the band width of a link (in Hz) is bigger than the combined bandwidth signals to be transmitted.
In FDM, signal produced by each sending device modulates distinct carrier frequencies.
These modulated signals are then combined into a single composite signal which can be transmitted by link.
Example: Radio, television broad casting and so on.
Web Servers: The web pages on Internet are stored on the computers which are connected to the Internet. Such computers are termed as web servers.
Virtual path: All along any transmission path from a specified source to a particular destination, a group of virtual circuits can be grouped altogether into what is termed as path.
Data encryption: Data encryption makes sure data safety and very significant for confidential or critical data. This protect data from being read, modified or forged while transmission.
