The important features of MBO are as follows:
1. A Philosophy: Management by objective is an idea or a structure, and not simply a method.
2. Participative Goal makiing: It stresses on participative objective making.
3. Individual Responsibilities Defined Clearly: MBO clearly defines every individual’s duties in terms of results.
4. Completion of Goal: It mainly focuses on completion or achievement of goal rather than ways to achieve and complete the goal.
5. Objective Need into Personal Goal: MBO transforms organizational objective into personal goals at each level in the organization.
6. It Establishes Goals standards: It sets up standards as working guides and also makes it the basis of performance evaluation.
7. Efforts to Balance and Blend Goals: It is a system which is on purpose directed towards successful and proficient attainment of goals at organizational and personal levels.
