State the reason why workflows are based on the Extensible Models.

Workflows serve the purpose of automating business processes. As, every type of business has extensive range of problems; thus, workflow platform needs to be extensible. WF offers a set of base activities, like Code, IfElse, and Delay, in order to develop a workflow. All these activities can be extended or can build new activities in order to meet the requirements. Other than activities, services can also be extended, like management, tracking, and persistence, offered by the runtime engine.
