Disaster Recovery: The disaster recovery plan (DRP)–at times termed to as a business continuity plan (BCP) or business procedure contingency plan (BPCP)-explains how an organization is to deal with the potential disasters. Just as a disaster is an event which makes the continuation of usual functions impossible, a disaster recovery plan includes of the precautions taken and hence the effects of a disaster will be reduced and the organization will be capable to either maintain or rapidly resume mission-critical functions.
