Expert
Configuration management is the in depth recording and bring up to date of information for software and hardware components. While we say components then we are not referring to source code. It could be tracking of modification for software documents for example test cases, design, requirement, and so forth. When alterations are done in informal and in an uncontrolled manner disorganized condition can take place and more defects introduce. Therefore when alterations are done it must be done in a restricted fashion and with suitable versioning. At any minute of time we should be able to go back to the old version. The core purpose of configuration management is to follow our alteration if we have problem with the present system. This management is prepared with baselines.
