Software testing is significant part of the software development process. In standard software development there are four important steps, in short it is also called as, the PDCA which is: -Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle.
The four steps are as follows:-
a) Plan: It defines the plan and the goal for achieving the objective.
b) Do/Execute: It depends on the plan strategy decided in the first stage that is in plan stage we do implementation accordingly in this stage.
c) Check: In this stage we ensure that we are moving according to plan and are receiving the preferred outcome.
d) Act: - In this stage we take appropriate actions accordingly and alter our plan again if any issues are there, during the check cycle.
Hence developers and other stakeholders of the project perform the ‘planning and building,’ at the same time testers test part of the cycle. Thus, software testing is executed in check part of the PDCA cycle.
