Some of the disadvantages of the RAD are as follows:

b) The RAD projects will fail if there is no commitment through the developers or the clients to rapid-fire activities essential to get a system complete in a much abbreviated time-frame.
c) When a system can’t be properly modularized, building components for the RAD will be problematic.
d) RAD is not suitable when technical risks are high, example: this takes place when a new application makes high use of latest technology.
