Expert
In oogenesis the oogonium separate into oocyte I (2n) and this cell enters meiosis. After completing the first meiotic division (meiosis I) the oocyte I creates two cells: the oocyte II (n) and first polar body. The oocyte II is bigger hence it gets approximately all the cytoplasm and the cytoplasmic arrangement of the oocyte I like a strategy for metabolite and nutrient storage. The oocyte II cell goes then to the subsequent meiotic division. The first polar body is very little and approximately lacks cytoplasm; it disintegrates or resides attached to the oocyte II.
