Differential Cryptanalysis concepts
Illustrate the Differential Cryptanalysis in brief?
Expert
Differential cryptanalysis is a kind of attack which can be mounted on the iterative block ciphers. Such methods were first introduced by Murphy in an attack on FEAL-4; however they were later enhanced and perfected who used them to attack the DES. Differential cryptanalysis is fundamentally a chosen plaintext attack and relies on the analysis of evolution of differences among the two related plaintexts as they are encrypted beneath the similar key. By careful analysis of the accessible data, probabilities can be allocated to each of the possible keys and ultimately the most probable key is recognized as the correct one.
