Give a brief description of stomata? How do such structures participate in plant transpiration?

Stomata (stoma, singular) are small specialized passages for the gases and water present in epidermis of plants. As the plant needs more or less lose the water and heating stomata respectively close or open preventing or permitting passage of gases by the diffusion.
