Software-optimized Encryption Algorithm (or SEAL) was intended by Rogaway and Coppersmith in the year of1993 as a fast stream cipher for a 32-bit machine. SEAL has a rather involved initialization phase throughout which a large collection of tables is initialized using Secure Hash Algorithm. But, the use of look-up tables throughout keystream generation aids to achieve an extremely fast performance with just five instructions needed per byte of output generated.
