Muscle tissues are tissues made of cells capable to carry out contractions and thus to create movement. The function of muscle tissue is to pull bones (or skeletal striated muscle), to contract and move vessels and viscera (smooth muscle) and to make the heart to beat (cardiac striated muscle). The muscle cells hold the internal structures which are named as sarcomeres where there are actin and myosin molecules disposed to make distension and contraction (movement).
