Define Master Schedule

Master Schedule: It is the process by which a manufacturing operation is executed. The master scheduler is the department or person in a manufacturing plant accountable for scheduling. The master scheduling department might be accountable for all aspects of scheduling like demand forecasting, the master production schedule, production planning, and inventory planning. In big operations, the master scheduling group is its own branch and the other aspects of planning are handled by further groups or branches.
