Defense mechanisms of body against foreign or harmful agents
Name the two groups of defending techniques of the Human body in opposition to harmful or foreign agents? Distinguish between them?
Expert
The body has several defending mechanisms against foreign pathogenic agents. Such method are parted into two classes: the unspecific mechanisms and the specific mechanisms. The specific mechanisms comes under immune system and understand the humoral immune reaction and the cellular immune response that respectively generates antibodies and defend cells against specific antigens. The unspecific mechanisms fight in a normal way any kind of antigen (they don’t have specificity) and in them a sequence of defend means are included, such as skin barrier in opposition to foreign agents, ciliated epithelium and the mucous of the airway, inflammation (the inflammatory response) and the act of unspecific defense cells and proteins (for example, interferons and macrophages).
