What are the criteria of company to evaluate their employees for appraisal purpose?

Every company uses different criteria to evaluate their workers. Principally there are three groups of criteria being used for appraisal purpose:

1. Evaluation of qualitative characteristics such as intelligence, reliability, honesty, leadership and attitudes, abilities, etc.

2. Evaluation of actual performance (qualitatively and quantitatively).

3. Evaluation of future potential, improvement and development by an employee during the period under consideration.
