Describe in brief the two types of ROM.

The two types of ROM are as follows:
a) PROM: It stands for Programmable ROM. This is fundamentally a blank ROM Chip which can be written however just once.
b) EPROM: It stands for Erasable PROM. This is just similar to a PROM apart from that you can erase the ROM by shining ultra violet rays on the sensor on the top of ROM chip for a certain amount of time.
