Why the lab a standard solution was calculated

Before a power outage hit the lab a standard solution was calculated four times on Friday and yielded the following measurements: 4.08, 4.13, 4.03, and 4.07. On Monday after turning on the power and letting the instrument equilibrate, the same standard gave the following 4 measurements: 4.10, 4.15, 4.11, and 4.09. Explain the measured value if you wish to check whether the averages from the 2 standard runs are the same within a 95% confidence level?
