Philosophy of Teaching Statement: Conceptualization of Teaching
The philosophy of teaching statement is presented in five sections: conceptualization of learning, conceptualization of teaching, goals for students, implementation of the philosophy, and professional growth plan. In this course, you will develop your own philosophy of teaching statement. This week, you will focus on writing your conceptualization of teaching section.
Task:
Using knowledge gained from your orientation course, observation experience, your own personal experience and credible, current literature, address the following questions:
a. What is your personal definition of teaching?
b. What is your role as a teacher?
c. What will you do to accommodate different abilities?
d. What have been your positive and negative experiences with formal or informal teaching?
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
