What does death mean in the given context

Discussion: Death Of SEO

1. One trend that we are seeing with leading online companies (Google, Apple, Facebook, etc.) is that they want to be your everything -they want to provide and connect with you in all parts of your life. Google runs phones, tablets, laptops, Android TVs, soon watches, social media, and even wanted to see what we see with Google Glass. Apple is in similar areas, competing with Google to dominate all of the gadgets that run our lives. Even Facebook is getting into the Internet providing business. Could this consolidation of entities providing all your Internet-related services negatively affect SEO? Is this a good or bad thing for businesses trying to be found online?

What do you think?

2. When you think about and discuss the future of SEO, consider the history of this rapidly changing industry. What does "death" mean in this context? Is change death? If SEO is the practice of optimizing your online presence to be a part of search engines, will this ever go away? Will search engines ever disappear? Also, consider what you want/hope SEO to look like in 5, 10, or 20 years.

The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
