Your company and Know Toys Corporation (KTI) have different telephone systems. Your company has an existing private branch exchange (PBX) telephone system that has been serving its needs for 10 years.
For this assignment, you will continue your work on the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR/BC) Plan with a review and evaluation of the requirements for voice and possibly video communications continuity. You will also be incorporating your written work from the PowerPoint presentation completed as part of the prior assignment into the DR/BC Plan.
In addition, you will comment on the back-up environments that currently exist and provide recommendations regarding the viability of cloud-based storage and computing systems.
Storage and Communication
The project deliverables are as follows:
• Update the DR/BC Plan title page with the new date.
• Update the previously completed sections based on the instructor's feedback.
• Back-Up and Storage
o Off-site back-up
- Determine and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of hot sites, warm sites, and cold sites.
- Determine and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing and back-up.
o Unified communications
- Provide a description of unified communications and how they may benefit your company from a DR/BC perspective.
o Voice communications
- Provide an explanation of the current voice communications environment within, your company and identify any potential "single points of failure" that could be compromised during a disaster.
- Using research, provide recommendations regarding changes or enhancements to the voice communications of your company's environment that could address DR/BC requirements.
• Copy and paste your written comments from your Phase 2 PowerPoint Notes areas into the Safeguarding Critical Assets section, and be sure to update them based on the instructor's comments.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
