Research question: Human population growth (is human population growing out of control? Can it be controlled, should it be controlled, by whom and how?
Title: Outline
Thesis: The issue of population is an ethical issue that every person in the globe should consider and take it upon themselves to limit the number of births to at most two for the sake of the society and the environment.
I. Introduction
A. The issue of trying to force people to reduce their population goes against individual rights.
B. The subject of population growth raises significant ethical concerns revolving the balance of the rights of reproduction and the sense of duty to the society as well as the environment.
C. The current global population stands at about 10,000 per hour will eventually come to a halt when the planet reaches a point where it will not be able to sustain it (Population Matters, 2018).
II. High reproduction is problematic because it augments the world's population.
A. Many people on the planet increase the degree of damage on the environment.
B. A high population bringing closer the day of ecological destruction where everyone will be fighting to have a share of the earth's natural resources (Population matters, 2018).
III. High reproduction is beneficial because it keeps communities alive and helps them to preserve their cultures (Kandler et al., 2017).
A. Communities that exist in few numbers have often been assimilated into other cultures thus putting theirs to extinction.
B. When people exist in large populations, they feel safe. A large population also gives its members a sense of belonging and self worth.
IV. Analysis
A. The subject of controlling populations is important but can only be achieved through controlled reproduction. This way, communities do not have to become extinct from being absorbed by stronger cultures.
B. People around the globe should take it upon themselves to control their rate of reproduction and embrace a proportional number of children so as to avoid a future that could be filled with conflict and hostility as people fight for natural resources.
