Research Project Assignment
Option One: Research Notable Deaf Performance Organization or Person
Choose a Deaf Theatre Organization or Individual such as Deaf West Theatre Company, National Theatre of the Deaf, Theatre Arts Programs at Gallaudet University or NTID, playwright Willy Conley, deaf dancer Nina Falaise or NTD founders David Hays or Bernard Bragg.
In a written paper or PowerPoint presentation provide the following:
- In an introductory paragraph explain the organization, or person you researched.
- In 2 to 3 pages, explain the purpose or role of the organization or person and their contribution to the Deaf Theatre. Provide historical background such as significant milestones, dates, events and productions.
- Provide at least three visual images to support your research.
- Why is this organization or individual significant in the Deaf Theatre community?
- Provide a summary explaining the legacy or last impact of the organization or individual.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
