Just recently a study was conducted by Atlas Research to determine if there was a difference in humor content in coal and natural gas trade magazinze ads. In an indeoendent random sample of 400 coal trade ads, 84 were humurous. An independent random sample of 340 natural gas trade ads contained 47 humorous ads. Test as alpha= .02 to determine if there is a difference in the proportion of humorous ads in the two industries magazines.
