Problem: According to Hughes and Beatty (2005), "One of the most important things leaders do - especially strategic leaders - is to help others in their organization make sense of the world around them, the challenges they collectively face, and how they will face them together."
I would add that change and discontinuity are realities for organizations wishing to remain globally competitive. How do leaders fulfill their responsibility to followers while simultaneously moving their organizations forward?
