Suzy is selling her 1998 Honda Accord. Emily, a college student, desperately needs a car and sees the ad for Suzy's car in the newspaper. She calls Suzy and the two ladies agree to meet on Wednesday to discuss the car. On Wednesday, Emily arrives at the agreed upon location and checks out the car. Suzy offers to sell her the car for $2000 and Emily says "how about $1500?"

Case Study 2
John, a 16 year old boy who lives in an abusive household, decides that he has had enough and needs to move out. His mother left years ago and his father has a rather substantial substance abuse problem. The drug problem has led to his father severely beating him on numerous occasions, especially when he uses cocaine. He researches apartments for rent and finds one that he can afford based on income he receives from a part time job. After he inspects the premises, he lets the landlord know that he is ready to sign the lease.
