Inherent family oriented culture

Case Study:

Please read this information and give me a 5 to 6 sentences respond.

The country I chose to discuss is Russia, because my last name if R. It is said that the Russian culture places great emphasis on the family. This is because of the history of communism that left the people to rely heavily on their family relationships. Russia is the largest country in the world in terms of territory, with a total area of 6,601,668 square miles (17,098,242 square kilometers). Russia is home to at least 190 ethnic groups. Russian is the official language, but most of the people speak English as a second language. Islam is the second largest religion in Russia. Russian currency is the Ruble. 1 US dollar is equal to 63 Rubles.

One challenge I think the company could face is the inherent family oriented culture. A business such as Google would do well in this type of culture because they offer many family oriented benefits to their employees. They offer great health benefits, opportunities to move up in the company, and opportunities to be innovative in the work environment. If you wanted to implement and HRIS I think it would have to be user friendly for the employee's s that thy feel the company is truly concerned about their welfare.

The second challenge would be the language barrier. The HRIS would need to have the capabilities to translate information in English and Russian. Users would need to have access to both options. Users would also need to be able to view their data in both languages. The HRIS would need to be able to manipulate data in both languages.

Both challenges would require the formation of a global team that would consist of representatives from the home country and Russia. The team would need to explore how the currency exchange rate would affect the cost of developing and implementing an effective and efficient HRIS. We would also need to explore the internet capabilities in the form of how technologically savvy the culture is. With all the risks involving hackers we would have to sell the HRIS as a friendly beneficial system and not a threat. Training would have to be ongoing.
