I found a few statistics that were surprising in this social media revolution. The first one was in reference to the Wikipedia statistics that stated that the information found on that site is more accurate than Encyclopedia Britannica. Although I am inclined to agree with the statistics displayed in the Youtube video, most universities dissuade students from using Wikipedia and consider the source to be incredible for the reason that anyone can change the information at any given moment.

Another surprising statistic was the number of bloggers already in circulation over the Internet. I find that I am always looking for comments about products or services before I make purchases in which case I attribute my purchase decisions to bloggers and find that this method of word of mouth advertisement has generated significant impact to organizations and consumers worldwide.
