Purpose: The purpose of this assessment is to provide an opportunity to participants for developing real-life case study of existing CSR activity by Saudi organization.
Rationale: CSR Communications especially CSR Reporting is an important concept in the CSR curriculum. This homework will test participant's ability to report a real-life case study of a Saudi organization having CSR activity.
Key Deliverables: You are required to develop an existing CSR case study by a Saudi organization on pre-determined format.
Instructions: Read the general instructions before starting the case study.
1. Identify an organization /person practicing CSR.
2. Identify an issue / problem which can be used to supplement the theory.
3. Write the case study in past tense.
4. Maximum number of words allowed = 2000.
Contents: The case study must have three parts:
1. Opening paragraph
• Who is main protagonist
• Who the key decision maker is
• What is the problem/issue
• When the case took place
• Where the case took place - organization, city
• Why the issue or problem arose
2. Body of case study
• Tell the whole story - usually in a chronological order
• Typically contain, general background, business environment, company background, and details of specific issue.
• Use publically available information through official websites.
• Add tables and pictures as annexures.
3. Concluding paragraph
• Provide a short synthesis of the case to reiterate the main issues or to raise new questions.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
• The answer must be using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, typed, with one-inch margins on all sides.
• The response also includes a cover page containing the student's name, the title of the homework, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
• Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
