Differences in opinions can be barriers to early childhood educators and families forming productive partnerships. Consider the following statement:
Early Childhood Educators have a vast amount of knowledge that families do not have; therefore, it is our responsibility to teach families as well as their children.
In your initial post:
a) Do you agree with this statement: why or why not?
b) As an early childhood educator, how does this statement make you feel? As a family member, how does it make you feel?
