Using the scenario (du Telecom-Huawei case study) above the learner should be able to understand project management principles addressing the following assessment criteria:
Describe the background and the principles of project management using the scenario case.
Appraise the viability of projects, developing success/failure criteria. Explain at least two appraisal techniques that du Telecom-Huawei could use in projects.
Explain the principles behind project management systems and procedures.
Explain the key elements involved in terminating projects and conducting post-project appraisals.
Task 2 -
Using the scenario (du Telecom-Huawei case study) above the learner should be able to manage project's human resources addressing the following assessment criteria:
Identify the most appropriate organisational structure, roles and responsibilities of participants within a project.
Control and co-ordinate a project. As a project manager show how projects are controlled and co-ordinated.
Assess project leadership requirements and qualities.
Plan and specify human resources and requirements for a project.
Task 3 -
Using the scenario (du Telecom & Huawei case study) above the learner should be able to apply project processes and procedures addressing the following assessment criteria:
Prepare project plans and establish the project organisation.
Apply project scheduling, estimating and cost control techniques.
Analyse the methods used to measure project performance.
Explain project change control procedures, evaluate the completed project.
