1.a turbine receives 0.1 kg/s of hot air at 55 m/s velocity at 1.4MPa and 900K. The air leaves at 225m/s and 200 KPa and 500K. If the turbine loses heat at a rate of 50KJ/g.

2. Two tanks, A and B are separated by an infinitely thin partition. Tank A contains 0.1kg of water at 0.5MPa and 100 c while tank B contains 0.2kg of water at 300C and 1.6MPa. The Partition is removed and the water is allowed to mix until the system is in equilibrium. the final pressure is 1.0MPa, determine

a) the temperature (C)at the final state
b) the heat transfer (kJ) during this process
