A mechatronic assembly is subjected to the final functional test. Assume that defects take place at random in these assemblies and which defects take place according to Poisson distribution with the parameter λ = 0.02

  1. Find out the probability that assembly will have exactly one defect?
  2. Find out the probability that assembly will have one or more defects?
  3. Assume that you enhance the process so that the occurrence rate of defects is cut in half to λ = 0.01. What effect does this have on the probability that the assembly will have one or more defects?
