2. Read the case brief on Kelo v. City of New London (2005).
After viewing the clip and reading the case brief, answer the following questions in 1-2 double-spaced pages. What does the 5th Amendment say about eminent domain? Why was it included in the Constitution?
• Describe the three methods of "public use" for which the U.S. Government could take private property prior to the Kelo Supreme Court Decision.
• Explain how the Kelo Supreme Court decision altered the use of eminent domain by the U.S. government.
• Do you think it's fair for the U.S. Government to have this power? Explain your position.
