Assignment:
You need to select a leader in an organization (public sector), which has leadership responsibility commensurate with a "Director" level position. Your essay must be in your own words with in-text references as appropriate and a reference list at the end of the essay. References must be in APA style.
Please ensure your name is on your paper and the name and contact information of the interviewee. Essays are to be typed, double-spaced, with one-inch margins (left, right, top, bottom), and 12-point type. The combined essays are to be no shorter that three full pages and no longer than four full pages.
The interview should cover the following areas with the interviewee:
1. Describe the overall leadership responsibility (i.e. Budget, Human Resources, Intergovernmental relations, and how they foster a process of engagement between citizens and public servants).
2. Drawing upon their expertise, how do they approach conflict situations that call for collaboration?
3. How do they use organizational power constructively and effectively?
4. You are to use three research journal articles that highlight the information you receive from the interviewee. Compare and contrast the interviewee's answers with the research articles you select. Is the selected interviewee leading ethically, morally and legally in the organization? Draw a conclusion.
