Each student should keep a computerized journal in a Word document throughout the course of their activities related to how you use the Internet and social media for your professional enhancement. You are encouraged to use this assignment as an opportunity to raise your professional online presence through various social media.
A good assignment:
- Clarifies career objectives you would like to achieve. I would like to start my own business and at the same time work at a well known company in their marketing department to learn how to promote and market my own business.
- Defines your value proposition in terms of something :
o That you have passion for. o That there is a demand for. o That you are good at.
- assesses your current online presence with an online audit analyzing :
- o search results of your name
o what platforms currently are being utilized and how
o what kind of networks you have developed online Linkedin & twitter, Im not sure if thats what the instructor means like in what social media program am i developing if thats what they mean then please mention these two medias and talk about them.
- identifies and experiments with platforms, strategies and tactics that you think would help enhance your online brand. Its a unique jewelry brand.
- evaluates what seems to be on the right track and what you will continue doing why and explains why. Please try to mention at least 2 things
all entries should be dated and please strive to add at least one entry per week. Some journal entries may be short and to describing some activity you undertook such as cleaning up your LinkedIn profile, others may be longer and more analytical in which you, for example, discuss pros and cons of various online options. 5 pages long.
