Based on the best practices you have studied in this course, what do you think are the three best practices for decision-making? First, give a summary of these three best practices, and explain why you believe them to be the most important.

Second, apply one of the best practices you have chosen to the following scenario in which a business manager has to make a decision.

Michael is the quality assurance manager of an ice cream plant in the United States. The parent company has decided to open several plants in Russia. A team of food scientists from the new plants being built in Russia have come to your plant to learn how you run the lab in the plant and assure quality production of the ice cream. One of the scientists from Russia has very traditional cultural views and refuses to work with a female member of your team, despite the fact that she is a highly qualified food scientist and employee at your plant.

How would you handle this situation if you were Michael?Justify your best-practice in this decision-making situation.

Your essay should be at least three pages in length, not counting the title page and reference page. Your paper should include at least two outside sources to support your decision.

2. ARTICLE Critique

Locate an article related to answering the following question: Why are computerized programming tools and secure programming a concern in the business environment? Be sure that you examine programming tools and determine secure programming principles and/or development. Your article critique should consist of no less than three pages, and the article you choose should be no older than three years. In your article critique, you should do the following:

-Write your critique in APA format.

-Begin with an introduction that defines the subject of your critique and your point of view. You will need to identify and explain the author's ideas. Include specific passages that support your description of the author's point of view.

-Defend your point of view by raising specific issues or aspects of the argument. -Offer your own opinion. Explain what you think about the argument. Describe several points with which you agree or disagree.

-Explain how the passages support your opinion.

-Conclude your critique by summarizing your argument and re-emphasizing your opinion.

-For each of the points you mention, indicate specific passages from the text that provide evidence for your point of view
