A survey reported that 70% of those responding to a national survey of college freshmen were interested in taking summer courses. Using the sample size of 49, calculate a 95% confidence interval for the proportion of college students who are interested in taking summer courses.

 





Paul wants to know how difficult it is to reach an employee of USC Office during 12-1pm. She has no idea about the proportion of calls to the USC office that were reached by the caller (proportion is unknown). With 95% level of confidence and 3% error (E), how many calls she should include in order to get answer to her question?

 







During the last semester, 60 students of USC took the Basic Statistics course. Twelve of these students received more than 80 for the final exam. At 99% level of confidence, estimate the percentage of all students at USC who received more than 80 for the final exam of the Basic Statistics course during the last 10 years.
