Computing shear stress acting on cemented joint

Question1) Two streams of r-134a flow into non-insulated diffuser. stream 1 enters at pressure of 2 bar and 20 C with a velocity of 200 m/s through the area of 0.1m2 while stream 2 enters as saturated vapor at 2 bar with velocity of 100 m/s through an area of 0.05 m2. R-134a exits the diffuser at 2.8 bar and 40 C with a velocity of 20 m/s.

A) mass flow rate at exit

B) Area at the exit

C) Rate of heat transfer for the diffuser

Question2) A plastic beam shown below, having a box section, where the top plate is cemented in place, as indicated. All dimensions are in millimeters. For the 12kN load shown, Determine the shear stress acting on the cemented joint?
