Question 1: What are the advantages offered by data analysis in the survey research?

Question 2: Very often, we are not interested in test scores, or continuous measures, however in ‘categorical variables’. Describe what are ‘categorical variables’, and give two illustrations to support your answer.

Question 3: Consider the results given in Table 1, where appropriate statistical tests (Table 2 and 3) are applied to a certain data set related to the variables ‘types of diet’ and ‘categories of life span’.

a) Describe the statistical tests used and validate their use in this case.

b) Critically analyze the research findings and interpret the results.
