Propagation by Leaves:
Leaves are not a general means of vegetative propagation in nature. Though, Bryophyllum is acknowledged for its remarkable ability to regenerate by leaves. In Bryophyllum plantlets grow from the buds existed on the marginal notches of the intact leaves. Such plantlets become detached and grow into independent plants.

Propagation through Bulbils:
These are spherical multi-cellular, fleshy buds generated in the axil of foliage leaves in the place of axillary buds. They develop to form new plants, whenever shed and fall on the ground. Example: Oxalis, Dioscorea, Pine apple, and so on.
